A long-time favourite Spathiphyllum, commonly known as the Peace Lily, is an adaptable and low-maintenance houseplant. The Spathiphyllum has unusual dark green and white variegated leaves.
Peace Lillies are not true Lillies at all, but rather a member of the Araceae family. Its flowers resemble those of the calla lily (both plants belong to the same family) and are the reason for its name.
Native primarily to tropical rainforests of America, the peace lily plant is a vibrant and graceful perennial that adds life to any space. They will thrive in the shade which makes them ideal if you have no experience of looking after houseplants. It also means they aren’t hard to situate in your home, they will love any corner of any room really, in the sun or in the shade.
